Join us for a Thai Feast Supper Club on Sunday 13 September 2015 at 2pm.
We’ve been lucky enough to spend many lovely months travelling and eating in the food capital of South East Asia, Thailand. We squeezed in a five day cooking course at the amazing Chiang Mai Cooking School run by the Thai chef Sompon Nabnian, learning to cook dozens of amazing dishes in the authentic Thai style. We’re already super excited about designing and cooking this Thai feast.
Here are the details:
The menu: A Thai-inspired feast. Think lemongrass, galangal, Kaffir lime, fish sauce, palm sugar, chilli, lime, coconut milk and amazing array of delicious fruit and vegetables.
Menu for 13 September
Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Soup)
Nam Prik Ong (Minced Pork Northern Style)
Paired with Goose Island IPA (5.9% ABV)
Gaeng Phed Ped Yang (Red Duck Curry)
Steamed Jasmine Rice
Paired with Bunting Bitter, Leytonstone Brewhouse (4.5% ABV)
Sticky Rice with Mango
Paired with Erin’s Wit, Leytonstone Brewhouse (4.8% ABV)
Jasmine Tea and Petit Fours
The beer: Bring along a bottle or two of beer, or anything else you fancy drinking. If you can find some Singha or other Thai lager that would be great. Otherwise, wheatbeers (perhaps a hefeweisen from Germany or USA) would work with the heat well, or dunkels would be excellent – a Budwar Dark for example.
The time: 2pm to 6pm, Sunday 13 September 2015
The place: Our home in Leytonstone, E11 4PR. Details will follow once you’ve booked.
The cost: Suggestion donation of £26 per person, payable in advance please. For three courses.
If you would like to come along, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, number of places and any dietary requirements.
